Lava Dog hid the sword underneath a table with potted plants, and then wavered by the open door.  Prickling his ears, he could locate the footsteps of Aureus close-by, followed by loud, raspy intakes of air. Blood continued to stick to the outside cavities of his nostrils, making his own breathing more strenuous than he liked, relying on his mouth to suck in oxygen. Did he even know what to do now? He’d managed to subdue Aureus, at least putting them on more equal grounds, but what now? The crowd dispersed, breaking into pairs or larger groups. Either they went about it with friendly relations (choosing to play a game, contest exc.) or in swooping volatile and vehement movements. Foxface had watched Lava Dog take after Aureus into the yard. She showed no interest in watching. Objectively she shouldn’t involve herself in the fights. It would only merit the thief’s spite. Lava would have to come to his own conclusion.

Speaking of the devil, she could make out the thylacine’s form perched on the grandfather clock, eyes following after the competitors as they abandoned the room. How long he’d been there,

Aureus retired to his room quite early on, leaving Lava Dog by himself. He tried to feign interest in other conversations - Fenix & Califer, Vinda, Mothew, even Una, but usually refrained from talking and instead tried to figure out why the thief had really decided to give him back any memories - enough so to confront him about it? Did he want to suspend the belief that there truly weren’t any strings attached to this stupid feast?

New Years Resolution? Just so I don't overwhelm myself. Draw more backgrounds. What will yours be? 8D

Amazing I hope to do something like this next year.

My resolution? To put more effort into everything I do, and appreciate the little things :)
